The Breakfast Burger

One for where you want to treat yourself a little bit. Sausage patty, bacon, egg and cheese, a homemade hasbrown all inside a toasted brioche bun. Heaven.

Turn cooking mode on

For the hashbrown

1.

Peel and grate the potato and onion. Squeeze out all the excess water until you have a semi-dry texture.

To a bowl, add the potato and onion, the egg, flour and seasoning and combine well. Form into moulds and place in freezer for 20 minutes so they hold shape when cooking. You can do this in big batches and then store in the freezer for whenever you want them.

1/2 tbsp Pepper

To cook the hashbrown, either deepfry, airfry or pan fry until golden and crisp, around 10 minutes. Season with salt.

Cook the burger

To make a sausage patty, remove the sausage meat from the sausages and form a circle shape. You can use pre-made sausage patties if you wish. In a pan cook bacon until crisp, then cook the sausage patty, adding cheese to one side when flipped, then cook the egg.

Build the burger

1.

To a lightly toasted brioche bun, add the bacon, followed but the sausage and cheese patty, the hashbrown and top with the egg. Place the top of the bun and enjoy.
